My journey so far

I started my own sustainability journey in 2015 after deciding that I wanted to spend my time and energy tackling the climate crisis. I first joined the Green Party and became politicly active, but soon realised that I could also drive change in business, so I began upskilling outside of work and in 2018 I made the move from an operations background into a career in sustainability. I became an Associate Member of IEMA (now known as ISEP) and helped Deliveroo start their sustainability journey for the UK.

I supported Extinction Rebellion in 2019 and the need to declare a climate emergency, while continuing to progress during my time at Deliveroo. I joined Sodexo in 2020 as an in-house SME (subject matter expert) and helped their clients, most notably the University of Greenwich, achieve ISO 14001 certification, along with other contract deliverables. By 2021, I was also active locally, volunteering for the Muswell Hill Sustainability Group to support local businesses and promote sustainable living. At the end of that year, the opportunity to join Dogs Trust popped up and as a dog lover (and pet parent to an Alaskan Malamute) I jumped at the chance. This was a dream job for me!

I became an Environmental Practitioner with IEMA in 2022 and by 2024 Dogs Trust started to become a sustainability leader not only among animal welfare charities but across the sector. I became a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Full Member of ISEP in 2025, achieving the gold standard for sustainability professionals. I also recently rejoined the Green Party, 10 years after first joining, to help them create a sustainable future for all.
